About CCP
In the fall of 1992, Sherry Stehouwer and Tom Kaechele gathered together a small group of theatre enthusiasts and formed what is now known as the Caledonia Community Players. It took several months to organize and plan for the future of this group. Their first play, The Little Red Schoolhouse, a one act comedy, was staged during the Caledonia Fourth of July celebration in 1993.
Since that time, the Caledonia Community Players have produced many comedies, dramas and full-length musicals. Fiddler On The Roof, The Music Man, Oklahoma, Annie, Cinderella, The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Shrek and The Little Mermaid are just a few of the summer musicals performed by CCP. Along with producing full-length shows and musicals, CCP has also produced several family productions for area elementary schools and our community. Cinderella, Charlotte’s Web, Junie B Jones, Lyle, the Crocodile, and the True Story of the Three Little Pigs are just a few of the many performances that entertained children and adults alike over the past several years.
