A Christmas Tree Making Contest
Looking for a way to get creative this holiday season?
CCP is seeking the best cardboard Christmas tree designs to complete the set of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” coming to our stage on December 16 & 17! A big bunch of colorful cardboard trees are needed. That’s where you come in. We need you to create, as Lucy puts it, “A great big, shiny aluminum Christmas tree!” Aluminum is not necessary though – you can make these trees out of cardboard or any materials you want so long as they are bright, eye-catching, family-friendly, and fun! Tree entries must meet the following criteria:

- Must be free standing.
- Must not be messy. (dropping needles, glitter)
- Family friendly imagery.
- No words or writing.
- No taller than 5 feet, no wider than 3.
Deadline is December 1st. Message your photos to the CCP Facebook page, or email us caledoniacommunityplayers1@gmail.com Photos of all tree submissions will be posted on CCP Facebook page between November 21-December 1st and the public encouraged to “LIKE” their favorite trees. Completed trees should be dropped off to the Caledonia Resource Center (M-F 9-3 PM) before December 1 and are yours to retrieve after closing night December 17th. (Trees may also be donated to CCP to be used in future years of Charlie Brown Christmas as this will be an annual show! )
What do I get? Top 10 most “liked” trees will be featured in the “Christmas tree lot” scene of A Charlie Brown Christmas show on December 16 and 17th and receive one (1) free show ticket! 5-6 more trees will be selected to feature on the Charlie Brown parade float on December 3 in the Village of Caledonia Christmas Lights Parade! One (1) overall winner will be selected and will receive 4 tickets to the show plus bragging rights for an entire year!
